Type: Financial contribution
Organizations: Salvation Army; VFW
Outcome: Support local veterans and those in need
For our December giveback effort, we wanted to wrap up our year of giving by supporting organizations that directly assist countless families and individuals in need during this holiday season. We chose to help The Salvation Army and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
2020 was a rough year. One group that helped make it a bit easier was The Salvation Army of Laramie County, which helps bring meals to the hungry, provide shelter, enrich children’s lives, combat substance abuse, and offer hope through counseling and spiritual services. The Salvation Army’s support is the hope that comforts those in need during the holidays, and we are on board with that! Here in Laramie County, The Salvation Army has served countless meals to hungry men, women and children; provided nights of lodging to people affected by homelessness; offered holiday assistance; and provided basic social services for the community in need. Thank you!
The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of Wyoming, provides services including encouraging patriotism among today’s youth, providing comfort and assistance to our hospitalized veterans and their families in need, serving as an advocate for disabled veterans or their survivors, representing the interests of veterans in government, and honoring the flag and the sacrifice of brave men and women who die to keep it flying freely. We appreciate and stand strong with the men and women of our armed services who protect our freedom and the privileges we all enjoy as Americans.
Wishing everyone a happy New Year!
